At Second Baptist Church of Ann Arbor we
know that you are only a visitor the first time and pray that you feel at
home thereafter.
We have made a decision to strive to be
the type of Christians that God is calling us to be. Our Pastor, Mark J.
Lyons has a vision that all members work in a Ministry. The entire church
has embraced this vision. We have a ministry that reaches far beyond the
walls of the church. Our Pastor is known for saying “God did not send you
here to be a bench member.” We encourage each person that joins our church
to get involved and find something to do to help with the work of God. We

We know that God wants each person that He
sends to this place to be on the Team. The members of Second Baptist Church
of Ann Arbor are ready to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. We know God
will help us give sight to the blind and visit the imprisoned. We are a
church that is ready and willing to meet needs. Jesus met needs. Jesus went
where the people were and Second Baptist Church of Ann Arbor shouts
“Hallelujah we are Disciples that want to be like Jesus!” Jesus came that
people would have life and have it more abundantly (John10:9-10). We know at
Second Baptist Church of Ann Arbor our mission is to help others to share in
the life that Christ has to offer.
