The mission of our ministry is to teach the children of Second Baptist Church of Ann Arbor and the community God’s living Word, as He directs us.  As teachers we are committed to being the vessels that help the children develop and nurture a lifetime relationship with God in order that they may have the foundation and understanding to fulfill God’s will and purpose for their lives.

The Children’s Ministry is in its fourth year.  The ministry is for all children in pre-school through 5^th grade.  We have a monthly Bible Study that is held on the first Saturday of the month beginning in October through June starting at 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  Class lessons this year have been The Holy Trinity, Love, The Resurrection and Honoring Thy Parents.  The Children’s Ministry takes an interactive approach that is age appropriate for each class to help the children understand God’s Word.  We also have monthly activities for the children.  Some of our activities have been trips to the Wild Swan Theatre, bowling, the movies, an annual Christmas dinner and each year is concluded with our annual Field Day held at a local park.

The ministry teachers are dedicated to the children and certified by the Christian Education Department of Second Baptist Church of Ann Arbor.
